Homemade apple pie

I could just taste it now topped with homemade vanilla ice cream.

2 (9inch) unbaked pie crust
5 Granny smith apples
1/2 cup of butter
1/2 a lemon
1 cup of sugar
2 Tablespoons flour
 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
                                                                 1 egg
                                                                 1 Tablespoon melted butter
                                                                  2 teaspoons sugar
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
In a sauce pan over medium heat add sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar; cook until butter is melted and sugars are dissolved, stir occasionally. Peel core and thinly slice apples, put them into a bowl and add lemon juice, to prevent browning. Roll out first pie crust into pan. Then place apples into pan. Pour sugar mixture over apples, and the add second crust. Score middle. In a small bowl, mix butter, sugar and egg, lightly brush mixture over the pie. Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until golden brown.
