These are my favorite, especially with some warm maple syrup, it gives me warm cozy feeling.
½ a cup of melted butter + 1 Tablespoon room temp. butter 1 Tablespoon of molasses 1½ cups of buttermilk 2 teaspoon of vanilla extract 2 teaspoons of maple extract 2 eggs 1½ cups of flour ¼ cup of sugar 2 teaspoons of baking soda 1 Tablespoon of baking powder
Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, melted butter, buttermilk, vanilla and maple extracts, and molasses. Now sift in the flour, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix the batter together until there are no more lumps. Take the room temp. butter and melt it in the skillet, once the butter is melted. Ladle in the batter and let it cook until the top begins to bubble the flip it and the pancake finish cooking until golden brown. Serve with butter and maple syrup.
